Dr. Essam is an expert in Islamic Finance, currently holding the position of Managing Partner at Newbury Economic Consulting which he founded in Kuwait. He is also a partner in E-mark Consulting, and an advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Investor Company in Kuwait. He was the founder of Rasameel Structured Financial Company in Kuwait, where he previously held the position of Chairman and Managing Director. He also held several companies in the Corporation, including the Board of Directors of Ain Takaful Insurance Company, Sorouh Investments, and membership of the two Boards of Directors of Dubai Wire Company, Kuwait Catalyst Company, and others.

Issam Al Tawair holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business Administration from University of Kuwait; and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Hull, England.
